Sara's International Artist Empowerment Collective

My inspiration for this group came from connecting with international teachers who are also artists.

The main project we wish to support through this group is the Shiveroy Verywella rural Bangladesh School. Simultaneously I have linked with Joyce Shihundu in Kenya currently teaching high school multimedia Artist students and Uzwal Singh from Kathmandu Nepal who works with educational projects following the devastating Gorkha earthquake in 2015.

Additionally I started to liase with other artists including Sohail Noor from Pakistan who took an interest in my work here in the UK, Sohail is very supportive and encourages to think big.

Opportunities for art in these countries can be very restrictive and I actively promote their vibrant work alongside my own.

Recently other artists have joined us in the collective including Cindy Canada, Mitrendu India, Rizwana India, Aly Lyn Dutch Russian making us truly international. In displaying our work we introduce international cultures to a somewhat cutoff and isolated rural outlook.
